Objective
To hold a postion of power where I can use education and
varied ideas as the key to insure growth, thus inabeling the rebirth
of Finnsgard.


Experience

1740
  • Became King
  • My first care was the strength and discipline of my army
  • Under my rule, Prussian judges were educated and the courts gained a reputation as the most honest in Europe.
  • I established the first German code of laws and enforced general education rules across Prussia

    1742
  • Forced Maria Theresa to give me Upper and Lower Silesia by the Treaty of Breslau.


    1740- 1748
  • In the War of the Austrian Succesion against Maria Theresa, I invaded Silesia without warning, simultaneously offering my aid to Maria Theresa if she ceded a portion of Silesia to me.

    1756-1763
  • During the seven years war, I successfully resisted opposition from France, Russia, and Austria despite my smaller means.
  • This is when I brought my country out of its hard times, and got the name " The Great."

  • I Promoted an Alliance with Russia

    1772
  • I vastly expanded the limits of Prussia.

    1785
  • I created the Fürstenbund [league of princes] to check Austrian schemes.

    Childhood
  • I was a close friend of Quantz ( Famous Composer)
  • Played Flute
  • Got married to Elizabeth ( but divorced )

Accomplishments

  • Great patron of the arts
  • Trained in agriculture, economy, administration, and military afairs
  • Author of 30 books, including Anti-Machiavel
  • known as "18th century's greatest general and military strategist."
  • Creator of the Fürstenbund [league of princes]
  • Unified Germany
